As Executive Architect and Development Manager, Crown played a pivotal role in shaping the concept for Denver’s tallest residential tower—a landmark project poised to redefine the city’s skyline. At a time when restrictive construction defect laws had effectively stalled condominium development, this initiative marked a turning point, coinciding with the rollout of key regulatory reforms.

The tower concept included ground-level retail, a boutique luxury hotel, three high-end restaurants, over 500 parking spaces, and 300 condominium residences. Crown’s involvement began in the fall of 2016, when Principal Michael Santora visited the site and identified overlooked zoning bonuses that had been missed by local architects. These insights resulted in an additional 200,000 gross square feet of development, unlocking the full potential of the site.

Thanks to Crown’s expertise in zoning strategy and pre-construction planning, the project successfully navigated complex regulatory hurdles—setting a new benchmark for luxury residential towers in Denver.
